TIME developed Employer of Choice (www.employerofchoice.co.uk) in 2002 as an innovative opportunity for employers of leading organisations to achieve a positive, inclusive approach to managing a diverse workforce in a constantly changing workplace environment.

The purpose of the programme is to provide professional, practical business support for organisations to:

• Improve the management of a diverse workforce with employers & employees working together to find out how they can both gain from a more imaginative and inclusive approach to working practices;
• Find practical solutions to improving business which at the same time gives employees a better work-life balance;
• Look at ways of improving workplace health & well-being, reducing stress in the workplace & improving the quality of lives in general;
• Improve employee motivation and commitment through effective dialogue and engagement;
• Support a change in culture - adding value through diversity.
  

Our specialist programme delivery team includes consultants/practitioners who each possess a wealth of experience in areas like diversity, health and wellbeing, human resource management and strategic planning. Our facilitation team are commited to working with cutting edge consultation techniques which allows them to continually develop and update the programme in line with changing demographics and the changing world of work.

On programme completion each participating organisation will have:

• Gained a thorough understanding of current health & well being, diversity and work-life balance issues in the workplace today;
• Learnt practical skills in policy development & strategic planning;
• Conducted an organisational diversity assessment;
• Conducted an in-house audit highlighting health & well being/work-life balance issues;
• Drafted an action plan aimed at addressing key issues;
• Formalised a diversity and work-life balance strategy.

As a result, participating employers will have improved business performance by implementing the Employer of Choice Culture Change Model which will measure and support employers to take a best practice approach in key business issues such as Equality and Diversity, Strategic Planning, Team Communication, Stress at Work, Work-Life Balance, Managing Change, Talent Management, Employee Engagement, Employee Health and Well Being, Continuous Business Improvement / Innovation, Networking and Benchmarking.
